Perched high above Eagle Bay, this landscape was designed to complement a striking contemporary home while preserving the beauty of its surrounding bushland setting. Spanning over 480m² and featuring more than 2,300 plants—94% of them native—the garden embraces the site's dramatic topography, retained marri trees and sculptural grass trees to create a landscape that feels both immersive and enduring. Carefully layered planting frames expansive coastal views while creating intimate outdoor spaces nestled within the bush.

A network of pathways and wayfinding planting connects the home's living areas, creating functional spaces for family life while encouraging exploration of the landscape. Every design decision sought to balance the bold architectural form with the natural character of the site, allowing the house and garden to exist as one. The result is a contemporary bushland landscape that celebrates the rugged beauty of the South West coast while enhancing biodiversity, connection and everyday living.
